About Scott A. Washburn, MD
Dr. Washburn graduated from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in 1986. He completed his residency at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia in 1990. Prior to joining Lyndhurst Gynecologic Associates in 1995, he was an Assistant Professor of Gynecology in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Wake Forest University School of Medicine. His special interests include menopause, hormone replacement therapy and alternatives, urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. In 2002, Dr. Washburn was named the Teacher of the Year by the residents in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
Dr. Washburn and his wife Karen have three children. He is an active member of Hope Presbyterian and enjoys cooking, sailing and traveling.
