About Julia Icard, DNP, FNP-BC
Julia received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Lenoir-Rhyne University. She is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and licensed through the North Carolina Board of Nursing. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honors Society and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nursing. Julia has two national certifications in In-patient Obstetrics and Electronic Fetal Monitoring.
She has served as a preceptor and clinical instructor for Lenoir-Rhyne University and as a childbirth class instructor. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Julia worked as a labor and delivery nurse for five and half years. She has always had a passion for women’s health and enjoys helping women of all ages navigate their healthcare needs. Outside of work, Julia enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her pets, especially her Golden Retriever, Callie. She also enjoys fishing, reading, DIY projects, and painting.
