Patients with underlying health concerns, pregnancy complications, or factors like age or family history may be referred to MFM specialists who provide advanced diagnostics, personalized monitoring, and ongoing support to help ensure a safe and healthy journey to birth.

When Is MFM Needed?

You may be referred to MFM care for:

  • Preexisting health conditions (e.g., high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid disease)
  • Advanced maternal age (35+)
  • IVF or multiple gestation
  • Past pregnancy loss or complications
  • Concerns identified during routine ultrasounds
  • Genetic risks or abnormal screening results

Our MFM Services

Our board-certified specialists and multidisciplinary team provide compassionate, collaborative care using the latest diagnostic tools and technology.

Advanced Ultrasound Imaging

High-resolution ultrasounds throughout pregnancy, including:

  • First-trimester dating and anatomy evaluations
  • Detailed fetal anatomy and growth assessments
  • Fetal echocardiography and Doppler studies
  • Biophysical profiles (BPP) and non-stress tests (NST)

Genetic Counseling and Testing

Personalized sessions with certified genetic counselors help you understand how family history, age, or other factors may affect your pregnancy. We offer:

  • Screening (e.g., NIPT, carrier screening)
  • Diagnostic testing (e.g., chorionic villus sampling, amniocentesis)
  • Supportive, culturally sensitive guidance to help you make informed choices

Diabetes in Pregnancy

Specialized management for:

  • Preexisting (Type 1, Type 2, MODY) and gestational diabetes
  • Personalized nutrition counseling
  • Monitoring using CGM and insulin therapy
  • Frequent reviews to adjust medications and ensure healthy outcomes

High-Risk Pregnancy Consultations

Our specialists provide expert evaluation and care planning for conditions like:

Coordinated Pregnancy Care

We work directly with your OB or midwife to ensure seamless communication and personalized planning. Every visit includes face-to-face consultation with an MFM physician, and we share test results and recommendations in real time with your care team.
