About McKenzie Chasteen, MSN, CNM
McKenzie Chasteen is a Certified Nurse Midwife, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (CNM-WHNP) and Lactation Consultant, receiving her duel masters degree from Georgetown University. She is originally from the High Country in North Carolina, but has completed training across the country from California to Washinton DC.
McKenzie believes it is a true gift to come alongside each woman who comes to Windover From wellness exams to prenatal care, antenatal care and beyond, McKenzie aims to walk with women through each interaction providing collaborative, holistic and thorough care. She has a special interest in Fertility Based Awareness and loves to encourage and continue to learn body literacy with her patients. During her CNM-WHNP education, McKenzie trained in home-births in rural PA, as well as in high-risk obstetrics in Los Angeles, CA and Denver, CO. She believes these wide ranging experiences help her to understand and value each birth’s uniqueness and beauty.
When not at Windover you might find McKenzie running or biking on a back road, exploring mountain tops and coast lines, painting canvases or murals, eating with chopsticks, kneading some sourdough, or spending time with friends and family.
