About Kimberly McGill, MD

“The mix of pregnancy and procedures is what initially attracted me to OBGYN, but the sustaining part is developing relationships with the patients and improving and maintaining their health. I am passionate about health education and strive to have patients engaged in their own health. I want them to feel comfortable talking to me, and I aim to be clear and direct in my communication. I want to make sure they have the resources they need for a healthy life. Women are motivated to make the best decisions they can for their lives. There is no other field in medicine that I would enjoy as much as this.”

Kimberly McGill was born and raised in Montgomery, Alabama, but since the age of 13 has lived in different parts of the U.S. as well as overseas. She received a National HealthCorps Scholarship during medical school, which led her to New Mexico to fulfill her service requirement. A true Southern girl, she moved back to the South and was in Fayetteville, NC for four years before moving to Raleigh in 2018. She enjoys traveling. Her recent trips have been to Iceland, Dubai and Thailand. She also enjoys exploring Raleigh and the surrounding cities. Other interests include exercise, photography, and attending live shows and performances. She has family in Virginia, Hawaii and Alabama and visits them as often as she can.
