About Ruchi Patel Moore, MD
As OB/GYN providers, the biggest difference we can make in a woman’s life is allowing her to control her reproductive capacity. Through this process I’m able to pursue my passion in providing education and access to contraception.
By informing, consulting, and guiding women through their reproductive options, we’re empowering women with opportunities to have financial and emotional independence. Dr. Ruchi Moore is from Chattanooga, TN and has resided in Asheville, NC for 18 years.
She has a B.S. in Environmental Science and a medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Moore moved to Asheville to complete her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC).
Dr. Moore enjoys developing long lasting patient relationships. Through her expertise, she helps women achieve their goals, whether it’s related to pregnancy, prevention of pregnancy, control of menses, or management of perimenopausal or menopausal symptoms. Dr. Moore is a wife and busy mother of three school-aged children.
Prior to med school, she taught environmental science through AmeriCorps. Today she applies her experience and interest in science in getting her kids outdoors, staying involved in their schooling, and volunteering with Girl Scouts.
When Dr. Moore isn’t wrangling children through the joys of homework and bedtime routines, she can be found sewing costumes for her family, quilting, or making decadent desserts. She is also an avid reader and is always open to a good book suggestion from anyone.
