Salena wants to encourage her patients to be empowered and involved in their healthcare. She wants each patient to know she has really listened to them and desires to be their health advocate.

Salena has three sons and one cat. She loves being outside jogging or sitting on the couch reading. She was born and raised in Asheville. She began her nursing career as an LPN at Asheville Women’s Medical Center in 1999 and is excited to be back now as a Nurse Practitioner.

IUD Insertion / Removal

It was my first time meeting with my physician and immediately I was comfortable with her. I’ve never had that experience with someone. She explained her every move without me even asking she also even called me after I left to make sure that I understood my visit and to me, I need something like that because in the moment a lot of times I miss information because it’s too much at one time for her to do that. I actually feel like she cared about my well-being and that is so rare these days so I will see her every single time and I think she Was more than awesome. Definitely wish I would have found her a lot sooner.
