Kristy is a board-certified Nurse Midwife by the American Midwifery Certification Board and is a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at Lees-McRae College and then earned her Master of Science in Nursing at Frontier Nursing University in 2020. Before becoming a Midwife, she worked for 9 years as a labor and delivery nurse with NICU experience.

Her ultimate focus is to empower women at each stage of life, especially during pregnancy, labor, and birth. She believes that each birth is special and it is a privilege to be a part of this memorable time.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending her summers lakeside or at the pool with her husband, three children, and their dog Molly.

The centering class has been fun and enjoyable. i do learn a few new things but I wish they would a little more informative. There may be some individuals who come with little knowledge on the topic we discuss but in such a large group it may be intimidating to ask “dumb” questions when other know so much.

Kristy was amazing. She was so personable and I instantly Liked her. I get anxiety prior to my appointments until I know my baby is healthy and she put me at ease so quickly. Her sense of humor was awesome and she answered each question my husband had. She also made sure to tell him if I wanted sonic he better get it for me. (He got it for me, thanks Kristy!)
