Kim joined our team in early 2016 but has worked as a nurse practitioner for the past 16 years.

She received her bachelor of science in nursing from Lenoir-Rhyne College and her Master of Science in Nursing and her Post-Master’s Certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee. Kim loves women’s health care, especially young women and caring for families.

She is married to her sweetheart for 30 years and they have one adult son together. She also loves to spoil her Doberman, Lucy and when not working enjoys doing mission work, traveling, reading and attempting to knit.

Kim Rector is a wonderful NP. She always makes me feel at ease. Makes me laugh. Makes me feel important and she never pushes or forces her opinion or suggestions on me. She gives me her thoughts and then lets me make the decisions. She is always gentle when she examines me. She is happy with me when I am happy and she is caring when I am in a tough situation. She even gives me a hug that makes me feel cared about.
