Karen Guida, MD, FACOG, is a Board Certified obstetrician and gynecologist serving the residents of many North Carolina communities, including Davidson, Huntersville, Lake Norman and Mooresville at Lakeshore Women’s Specialists, PC.

Dr. Guida attended Indiana University School of Medicine, graduating in 2011. Her residency was at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut. Specializing in minimally invasive robotic surgery, Dr. Guida is an expert robotic-trained surgeon regularly performing hysterectomy procedures, minimally invasive removal of fibroids, treatment of endometriosis, and more. She served on the Quality Assurance Committee for Harvard Vanguard in Boston for five years before she recently relocated to Mooresville.

She is married with 2 young daughters who keep her busy along with two dogs and two cats. Passionate about staying active and outdoors, she loves gardening, running, hiking, water sports, and snowboarding! I have had a lot of issues with wait time. During my last visit I was invited to call 15 minutes before my appointment to find out if the office was on schedule so I wouldn’t be stuck waiting 30mins to 1.5hrs as I have in previous visits. This time, I was assured things were on schedule. I arrived just before 1pm (my appointment time) but then waited 17 minutes before being called back, then I sat in a room for another 15 minutes, all for a total facetime under 10 minutes. That means my appointment took 4 times what it should have. The staff is so nice and I’ve seen great reviews about the performance of the doctors but the wait times are absolutely obnoxious and significantly diminish my experiences.

Dr. Guida and the office staff are all very professional. I was not happy that Dr. Guida was an hour late for my appointment and didn't even apologize about it. I also found it a bit odd she brought a male nurse in the room without giving me a heads up. Other than that my appointment was great.
