Dr. Wright is enthusiastic about obstetrics and helping patients start their families with the best possible care. He believes in delivering the best care possible to women, regardless of age or circumstance.
Dr. Wright encourages optimizing reproductive health before pregnancy and also attending to the needs of mothers after they have had their children. He specializes in incontinence and prolapse surgery, infertility evaluation and management, menopause, and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. Wright is married and has two children. His family has lived in Western North Carolina for many generations. A former collegiate runner, competitive cyclist and tennis player, Dr. Wright leads a healthy, fit lifestyle and is active in his church and local athletic activities.

I am a new patient to Dr.Wright, this is my second time being seen by him, he does knock on the door before entering. Every doctor that I have seen I. My whole life always knocks on the door before entering. Secondly, he comes in and asks if I have finished all of my Christmas shopping. I answered no. Our area In Western North Carolina is dealing with a lot of destruction. Our house needed a new roof, 3 trees needed to come down. Still we are not done with ceiling repair. Please make sure doctors are not asking sensitive questions, when it concerns spending. My husband and I feel I need a new doctor.

Dr. Wright gave his opinion AND heard that I needed information and would do further research. He was not pushy and did provide helpful information. I am still thinking about the mammogram and if so, what kind to get. Dr. Wright also provided an update on a biopsy and checked-in to make sure things were still going well.

Gynecological Exams

I definitely like Dr Wright but I was upset about results from last year that I never got. This year I did get the results and I’m ok with them but,again the patient is not contacted that a result is in their chart. (I use approximately 6 different portals and they all email you to check results or correspondence in their portal. ) The doctor specifically said I would be contacted (at my request) and I wasn’t. I was diligently checking because of last year, but people don’t randomly check a portal (esp via a website) unless contacted that results are in.
