Dr. Heinemann is a Board Certified fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Having been born and raised in Georgetown, SC, she attended the University of SC and received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. Upon completing her residency at the University of Florida Health Science Center in Jacksonville, she joined Lowcountry Women’s Specialists in 2008, and became a partner in 2009. Dr. Heinemann specializes in both gynecologic and obstetric care, including endometriosis, infertility, and polycystic ovarian syndrome. She is proficient in robotic surgery as well as both medical and surgical treatments for urinary incontinence. Dr Heinemann lives in Mt Pleasant and enjoys reading, boating swimming, traveling and, most of all, spending time with her husband John and their children.

Dr. Heinemann has been my OBGYN for 7 or more years now and is simply the best. I have always been 100% comfortable with her, confident in the car she provides and will never go to anyone else. She has helped me through infertility, delivered my baby and did my hysterectomy plus many things in between. The staff is welcoming and I have never encountered any negativity all the years I have been a patient of this practice. The X-Ray Tech who performed my mammogram was very sweet and professional. She was trying to make this as comfortable as possible for me. Dr. Heinemann is wonderful. She performed my hysterectomy a few years ago and I have always felt comfortable with her as my doctor.
