Education

Graduate School: State University of New York at Stony Brook

Undergraduate School: Lenoir-Rhyne University

Dara graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lenoir-Rhyne University in 1999. She then attended the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where she obtained her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialty in nurse midwifery in 2004.

Dara is certified with the American Midwifery Certification Board. Prior to joining A Woman’s View in 2012, she worked at a birth center in Greenville, S.C.

Her clinical interests include infertility, adolescent gynecology, routine obstetrical care, infertility and contraceptive education.

She adds, “I have a passion for women’s healthcare and really enjoy getting to know my patients.”

Dara lives in Morganton with her husband, Allen, and their two daughters.

Office Visit / Follow-up

Dara has always taken the time to talk with me and answer questions. She has always offered various options for things and walked me through possibilities regarding my care instead of giving me one option and ending the conversation. I appreciate that she encourages me to be involved in making decisions, while educating me on the possibilities. She does an excellent job of taking her time with my visits and I never feel rushed with her, even if I'm the last patient of the day. She is an excellent provider all around!
