Before becoming a midwife, Carrie was a labor and delivery nurse for twelve years. She is passionate about the philosophy of midwifery and providing woman-centered, holistic care. In addition to support during pregnancy and postpartum, Carrie also provides gynecologic care for women throughout the reproductive years.

Outside of work she is kept busy with her active, outdoorsy family.

Carrie received her Bachelor of Science (BSN) in Nursing from the University of NC at Chapel Hill. She then went on to complete her Master of Science (MSN) at East Carolina University. She is licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse through the NC Board of Nursing and as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) through the American Midwifery Certification Board.

Post-Partum Appointment

This was my second pregnancy/delivery with Catawba women’s and specifically with Carrie Morrow. She has always been my favorite midwife and ended up delivering both my babies. I appreciate her honest approach, and friendly manners. She always gave me the option for medication if needed but also provided great advice on dealing with symptoms naturally if possible. Sometimes you need medication. We also had wonderful experiences with the other staff at Catawba women’s it’s always a pleasant experience.
