April earned her Master of Science degree in Nurse Midwifery from Frontier Nursing University. She spent 10 years nursing at a high risk obstetrics practice and a clinical instructor for nursing students.

April’s professional interests include natural childbirth and Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBACs). She enjoys being a part of a collaborative environment where she is able to care for women throughout their lifespan.

April lives an active lifestyle with her husband, son and daughter. When not working, she loves to travel and spend time outdoors enjoying her family and friends.

I have had pretty good experiences with TP4W and with April. The only thing that was difficult was that I was expecting to be in/out for my appointment- and instead I waited roughly 45-60 minutes to have a 15 minute check up. I know that is out of April’s hands and probably has to do with other factors that I’m unaware of- but it does make it difficult to plan when I have other appointments and places to be within a close timeframe.

My birth experience would have been much different if it weren’t for April being so caring and compassionate, especially when telling me some difficult news. She quickly made the important decisions that kept my baby safe and healthy, and for that I am very grateful.

My experience with April during my labor and delivery stay was excellent. April is a wonderful provider. I’m knocking one star off because when I previously brought up an old lower back issue, the other provider at Triangle Physicians did not advise me about epidurals and needing current scans. Had I known that being able to get an epidural would rely on having up to date scans, I would have gotten that done ahead of time. When checking my records, that conversion of referring me to a therapist did not show up in my visit notes. It was only found it a direct message after that visit so it would have been difficult for other providers to know it was even discussed.
