Dr. Walsh graduated cum laude from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. She then attended the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, where she was elected for membership in Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society.

She did her internship and residency at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, and became board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. She worked at Women’s Care, in Somerville, N.J., prior to moving to Morganton with her husband, who is an ophthalmologist. They live in Morganton with their two daughters.

Dr. Walsh joined A Woman’s View in 2006.

Her areas of clinical interest include adolescent care, contraception and the treatment of abnormal paps.

When not driving her daughters to their activities, Dr. Walsh enjoys reading and gardening.

As usual, I recently had my yearly appointment for a check up. Dr. Walsh has been my gynecologist for many years. It's always good to check in with her, even when I am not experiencing any problems. She is always able to answer my questions, and she and her staff make every visit worthwhile.

Dr. Walsh was extremely knowledgeable in the latest evidence based research pertaining to peri/menopause. She offered lots of options within our conversation and didn't pressure me to lean one way or another. She took her time talking with me and answering my many questions. I did not feel like my time with her was limited in the least. She also acknowledged symptoms that other doctors have not given much consideration for. I am so thankful for my visit with Dr. Walsh and feel positive knowing I have her to return to.
