The initial greeting from the nurse was pleasant and sweet. She took her time getting my information updated and was also thoughtful to ask how my family was doing post Hurricane Helene. Dr. Hunt is always smiling and engaging and takes her time to get updated on your status and concerns and is thorough and caring . I am grateful to be her patient.

Annual Well Woman Exam

Dr. Hunt instills confidence and I know I am in good care. She is friendly while professional and, as well as the physical exam, asks relevant questions as part of determining my health and well being. I don't feel she is rushing to get to the next patient but am encouraged she gives each the time their visit requires. Her years of care have served me well. Thank you, Dr. Hunt.

Gynecological Exams

The staff were very pleasant and Dr. Hunt is an outstanding doctor. Her attention to detail and bed-side manner are awesome.

Annual Well Woman Exam

When I checked in, the receptionist said "we can't see you" and "you'll need to call billing". I asked why. She was unable to answer that question. When I told her I needed a new script for my Bio-identical Compounded Hormones, she said I could be seen. I saw Dr. Hunt who talked to me but, in order for me to have a breast exam or check on my bladder, I had to "request that she do those two exams". Apparently, Medicare pays for one wellness check, which is done by my Internist. This was news to me. Dr. Hunt gave me the opportunity to ask for the breast and bladder check. I did this because my mamo, ultra sound, and bone density are not until December because the Asheville office has no water for the foreseeable future. I asked for those two checks and Dr. Hunt kindly did them. This was uncomfortable and weird for me. Both Dr. Hunt and the receptionist were pleasant so no complaint, only compliment. I do feel the receptionist should be updated onto the "why"; i.e. for us 65+ year olds, Medicare pays for one Well Check/yr which is my physical with internist. Medicare will pay if she is treating me or if I need a script, like "hormone replacement therapy", which I did. It appears my internist will need to write a referral for me to see a "specialist" which is what Dr. Hunt is. Both Dr. Hunt and the receptionist did the best they could under the circumstances, all of us were confused. It's a strange and confusing world in which we live, complicated by a CAT 3 hurricane taking a direct hit on WNC. That's all from me.

Annual Well Woman Exam

Exam was very brief and didn’t seem comprehensive at all, I left a urine sample as I am having symptoms of a UTI or bladder infection and still haven’t been informed of the results, and it seemed like I was burdening Dr. Hunt with the need for bloodwork. She wanted to run some based on my symptoms but wouldn’t write the prescription. Instead, she wanted me to call my PCP and have her add it to the order. I told Dr. Hunt twice during my appointment that my PCP has refused to add to orders in the past, and she still wouldn’t write the order herself. Sure enough my PCP refused to add to the order, and after two phone calls to Dr. Hunt she still hasn’t phoned in the lab orders to Quest, as I had requested. Really, really disappointing. Now we’ve suffered a natural disaster, the office is closed, and I’m still having symptoms. I will not be back to Dr. Hunt. Just seems like she’s collecting a paycheck and not really wanting to practice medicine any longer.
