Dr. Mims, a native of Wilson, North Carolina, graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. In 1998 she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, where she served as Administrative Chief Resident. She then joined Lyndhurst Gynecologic Associates where her special interests include high risk obstetrics, adolescent gynecology, contraceptive counseling, and gynecologic surgery. She is also fluent in Spanish.

Dr. Mims is married; she and her husband, Whit, are proud parents of twins. In her free time, Dr. Mims volunteers at the Community Care Clinic in Winston-Salem. She also enjoys photography, travel, and home improvement. Dr. Mims is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and is a member of the North Carolina Medical Society and the American Medical Association.

Love this practice and Dr Mims. Only negative is everytime I have been there there is a long wait for the dr in the examing room. It was a half hour this time. I would rather spend 1/2 of that in the waiting room reading a magazine. Not sitting on an exam table.

I feel comfortable with the staff at the Kernersville location. It is more relaxed and less stressful than the main office on Hanestown Court. Dr Mims is wonderful. And the girl that checked me in with my weight and blood pressure was a very refreshing entrance to the office. She was friendly and helpful and very easy to talk with.

The front office staff is always friendly and accommodating. The office is transparent with billing information. The medical staff takes the time to listen to your questions and concerns. I could not be more pleased with Dr. Mims. She is always attentive and creates such a comforting medical environment. Even the facility, with the bathroom attached to the examination room, the signage explaining how to use the examining garments, the lack of pushing unsolicited medical procedures, speaks volumes to valuing women and their needs and comfort.
