At UWH of The Carolinas, our in-house laboratory services are convenient for you and provide a quick and efficient turnaround for test results that can make a difference in your health and well-being. Your physician may order a blood or urine test as a preventative measure or to assess a condition you may be experiencing.

Types of Lab Services

Your blood work can include a screening known as a complete blood count (CBC), designed to evaluate your white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelet count. Your physician might also order a comprehensive metabolic panel (CMP) to screen for conditions such as kidney disease, liver disease, or diabetes. A urine test can also be part of a well exam or to check for an infection of the urinary tract, for kidney stones, or for kidney or liver disease. Our in-house laboratory services are professional and accurate, which can have a real impact on the quality of your healthcare.
